SUMMARY:LEGENDFEST POLJICA 2026 – Eco-Ethno Village Čažin Dolac – Tugare\, Poljica – August 29th – 30th 2026
DESCRIPTION:As the summer day begins to fade over Poljica Mountain\, and the shadows of ancient oaks cover the stone paths of Čažin Dolac\, stories passed down here for generations come to life. Stories of fairies. \nThis year\, LegendFest Poljica is dedicated to them – the mysterious beings of Croatian oral tradition who have\, for centuries\, inhabited the mountains\, springs\, forests and rocky landscapes of Dalmatia. In folk belief\, fairies are guardians of nature\, protectors of people\, but also beings who punish arrogance and disrespect toward the world around us. \nOver the course of two festival days\, visitors will have the opportunity to discover the rich mythological and cultural heritage of Poljica through lectures\, workshops\, exhibitions\, music programmes\, traditional crafts and artistic interpretations inspired by folk legends. \nIn the picturesque setting of the Dolovi Ethno Village\, the programme will include workshops in traditional skills\, presentations of old crafts\, a knights’ camp\, LegendExpo – an exhibition of contemporary fantasy and mythological art – a fair of local products and handicrafts\, as well as a series of lectures dedicated to fairies\, legends\, and the historical heritage of Poljica and Dalmatia. \nThe evening programme brings musical journeys through traditional and contemporary sounds\, with this year’s festival stage featuring performances by PLET\, VUK and VEJA. \nLegendFest is a festival of legends\, myths\, stories and folk traditions that has\, for many years\, connected cultural heritage\, art and contemporary creativity. Following successful festival editions in Poljica\, LegendFest once again returns to Tugare\, a place where history\, nature and tradition meet in a truly unique way. \nWe invite you to join us on 29 and 30 August 2026 in Čažin Dolac and step with us into a world where legends still live. \nWelcome to LegendFest Poljica 2026. \n
