Opening of the LegendExpo Exhibition in Šibenik

Association ‘Val kulture’ organised the opening of yet another LegendExpo travelling exhibition of renowned domestic artists on the 29^th of May 2017, at the premises of the City Library ‘Juraj Šižgorić’ in Šibenik.

The emphasis of the exhibition is on the Fairies – the miraculous, mysterious creatures who are the main theme of the second LegendFest of the Šibenik-Knin County.

The exhibition was officially opened by the director of the Public Institute of Krka National Park, Krešimir Šakić and the president of the Association ‘Val kulture’. Together, they announced the upcoming second LegendFest of the Šibenik-Knin County to be held at the Roški slap (Roski Waterfall) on the 8^th and 9^th of July 2017.

“The primal beauty of the Krka River and the wealth of tradition have enriched this area in which we live, and which we, as an Institution, care for. The mystical landscape and diversity of cultures that have been encountered in this area have given rise to numerous stories, legends and fairy tales that often intertwine with reality. That is why we are proud partners of this project,” stated Krešimir Šakić at today’s press conference held at this event.

This year’s exhibition was enriched with new works by IvanGregov, who also created the main illustration of this year’s LegendFest in NP Krka, as well as with the magical art work by Manuel Šumberc, Esad Ribić, Dino Idrizbegović and Milivoj Ćeran.

The people of Šibenik will be able to see this exhibition on the first floor of the City Library until 10^th of June when Fairies will travel to the Roški waterfall to cheer the visitors of LegendFest.
